The Salmon Quays self-catering accommodation is a prime holiday rental situated in Ballina, County Mayo (home of some of Joe Biden's ancestors). More than a cottage, the Salmon Quays is a home from home. It has three comfortable leather sofas in the front room, a large kitchen and dining room, and downstairs toilet. The house can sleep up to eight people in its four bedrooms, which include two double rooms and two twin rooms. The master bedroom is ensuite, and a children’s travel cot is available for use. A high chair is kept downstairs. Also, the patio doors open to a small but enclosed garden with furniture and a shed for storing fishing tackle.

Tennis courts, a children's play area and the Quay Village are a short walk away, as is Ballina Town, which is recognised as the salmon capital of Ireland and hosts the annual Salmon Festival each July. The long sandy beach of Enniscrone is about 8km down the road and has more children’s facilities plus a great links golf course. Sligo and Knock Airport are about an hour's drive away.
